2011 as been quite the year for the Ford Fusion. The Fusion, a midsize sedan introduced in 2006, is expected to have sales of nearly 240,000 units in 2011, making it the strongest sales year in the Fusion’s five-year history and a 68% increase over the first year the Fusion was introduced. The Ford Fusion has been well received by consumers and car critics alike, winning the coveted Motor Trend Car of the Year in 2010. The Fusion currently accounts for 11.9% of the market share in the highly-competitive midsize sedan market segment. 2010 also marked the release of the Ford Fusion Hybrid, which can achieve 41 mpg in city driving. The 2013 Ford Fusion will be unveiled any time now and from what we hear, it’s going to be a beauty!
